Air India has completed precautionary inspections on the locking mechanism of the fuel control switch on all its Boeing 787 and Boeing 737 aircraft, with no issues found, the airline said on Tuesday.

NEW DELHI -- Air India said Tuesday that preliminary inspections found no issues in the locking mechanism of fuel control switches for select Boeing aircrafts.

However, that report, which stated the fuel-control switches had moved to the “cutoff” position, did not assign blame for the incident.

Air India said on Tuesday it has completed precautionary inspections of the fuel control switch locking mechanism on all its Boeing 787 and 737 aircraft, with no issues detected.
