The first part of the audit, released on Feb. 17, made 19 recommendations for increased transparency, accountability and better control in future building projects.

Each building audit report will include estimates of the costs to repair, restore, refurbish and upgrade the schools. The budget for the district-wide audit is approximately $1 million.
