APS, with 1.3 million customers, has capacity to generate 9,742 megawatts of electricity, while SRP has capacity to generate 9,385 megawatts for its 1.1 million customers.

Initially, over 43,000 SRP and APS customers in Phoenix, Glendale, the East Valley and Gold Canyon were without power, but APS and SRP crews worked around the clock restoring service.
