Lake Geneva has, once again, been voted among the best small towns in the Midwest, according to a new ranking by USA TODAY's 10Best. The southeastern Wisconsin spot is no stranger to such accolades: it's also previously been named among the best small towns for outdoor adventure and the most romantic small towns in the country.

The annual rankings highlight the best in travel, food and lifestyle, and winners are chosen by a public voting poll after being nominated by industry experts. In the 2025 best small town awards, ranking small towns in America across a variety of categories, Montpelier placed third and Stowe placed seventh for best small town in the Northeast.
