Tyrese Haliburton had 33 points and 11 assists to help the Indiana Pacers beat the Toronto Raptors 111-91 on Wednesday night. Haliburton was 12 of 15 from the field, going 7 of 9 from 3-point range. Myles Turner added 18 points and 10 rebounds and Pascal Siakam had 15 points.

Strong two-way play Wednesday

The Indiana Pacers decided to sign Jahlil Okafor to a 10-day contract prior to the All-Star break to give them some depth at center. They needed that depth while Myles Turner was missing games due to a cervical strain in his neck.

Tyrese Haliburton and Myles Turner led the way for the Pacers in this win, but there's no question Siakam posted a solid showing on both ends of the court as well, ending just two boards shy of what would've been his third double-double of the month.

Fresh out of the NBA All-Star Break, the Indiana Pacers are now 31-23 and in fourth place in the Eastern conference. Pacers center Myles Turner was mentioned in several NBA trade rumors, but the lifelong Indiana hooper is staying in the Circle City for now.

Under head coach Rick Carlisle, defense has never been the biggest priority for the Indiana Pacers. Part of it is due to the personnel they have, but their system that is predicated on pace and space prioritizes having the best offensive players on the court.

Turner could command a lot of money in free agency because he is going to be the best center to hit the market. The Pacers are risking losing him for nothing by not trading him. R

Although Indiana Pacers All-Stars Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam may be the 31-23 team's best players, their play may not be the deciding factor that either make or break their postseason success this spring.
