After clinching an All-Ohio and state wrestling medal, Ontario's Aiden Ohl could have injury defaulted the rest of the tournament with a high ankle sprain. But that wouldn't have been Aiden Ohl.

He took one step down the podium, but that he could take any steps at all is a testament to Aiden Ohl’s grit. Ontario’s 113-pound junior beat Logan Elm’s Dawsen Hudson 7-0 in the consolation finals to claim third place at the Division II state tournament Sunday inside Ohio State’s Schottenstein Center.

Richland County entered the state tournament with 10 wrestlers and eight will be coming home with All-Ohio honors after the second day of action.

The Ohio High School Athletic Association State Wrestling Tournament is in full swing and Richland County grapplers are enjoying a lot of success.

Of the eight Richland County All-Ohio wrestlers, six will return next season with valuable experience on the biggest stage as they search for state glory.
