This story will be updated. The Maine Gun Safety Coalition announced Thursday it collected enough petition signatures to put a gun safety citizen initiative on the ballot this November. If passed, the initiative will make it easier to temporarily take guns away from people perceived as a threat by law enforcement or their family members.
