The Philadelphia 76ers (15-25) started a road trip by squaring off with the Indiana Pacers (24-19). The Sixers’ performance wasn’t great but they found themselves in a tough ride and held on to make this game close until the final few minutes.

The 76ers won’t have an NBA All-Star for the first time in eight seasons. Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey were not among the players named as Eastern Conference All-Star reserves Thursday on TNT’s NBA Tip-Off show.

On Saturday night, the Indiana Pacers took control of the Philadelphia 76ers and continued their hot streak, winning 115-102. The game was tight until the fourth quarter, where the Pacers led by as many as 16 points.

The Sixers dropped their fifth consecutive game and dipped to 10 games under .500 on Saturday night in Indiana. With a 115-102 loss to the Pacers, the Sixers now sit at 15-25. They’ll reach the season’s halfway point Sunday when they visit the Bucks.

The Pacers created some separation in the third quarter behind some superb play from Myles Turner and their bench. Maxey kept the Sixers in striking distance as he’d finish the third quarter with 23 points finding plenty of success inside the arc. The Pacers led 89-80 headed to the final frame.

The Sixers and Nuggets last met 10 days ago in Denver, and the Nuggets delivered a thumping 144-109 victory. Maxey led the Sixers with 28 points, 10 assists, and two rebounds. Nikola Jokic played at a high level with a team-high 27 points, 10 assists, and 13 rebounds.
