Thinking of Chip as the rainbow faded, I suddenly realized it was his birthday, June 19. The rainbow, that beautiful sign of God’s promise, brought a message from heaven.

This promise of having a place with God in heaven may be a bit unbelievable. Even our old friend Thomas, the doubter, has trouble believing that Jesus’ promise is possible.

Most leaders are liars. Liars make the most convincing promises and break them with the same efficiency. Not even swearing under oath - even invoking God’s name - slows them down.

The Bible promises, "Behold, I make all things new" (Rev. 21:5). Noah’s love for God helped him restore his family and the animals to safety.
