Fairfield Union senior Christian Thompson, an Ohio State signee, won the Division II high jump title at the OHSAA state track and field meet June 6.

Fairfield Union’s Christian Thompson won first place in the girls Division II high jump at the OHSAA 2025 State Track and Field at Jesse Owens Stadium on June 6, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio.

Thompson missed two tries at 5-8 before getting it and the Fairfield Union girls high jump record. Thompson, who also played basketball and volleyball for the Falcons, added high jumping as a junior.

AMANDA – Last week, the Fairfield Union boys’ and girls’ track and field team took home first at the Mid-State League (MSL) track and field meet.

Fairfield Union girls were third with 66 points, while Fisher Catholic was fourth with 53. Sitterley set three meet records, winning the 800 (2:24.98), 1,600 (5:16.36) and the 3,200 (11:32.9).
