A bright green and yellow bird not built to brave a Winnipeg winter has been rescued after spending more than a month outside. A budgie was first spotted outdoors in the Island Lakes area in October.
Our granddaughter chose this beautiful little bird – yellow with a green heart-shaped design on her chest. Bubi No. 4 was loving, gentle and smart. She followed us from room to room.
The bird has since been taken to the Montague vet clinic for care. Clarey said this is the first time they've found a budgie at the Montague Marina.
A flock of the native Australian birds could be seen flying in formation around a brown field at the regional property, while chirping loudly. 'Beautiful wild bright green budgies!,' the caption read.
