Tom Izzo's Michigan State Spartans kept their momentum from the regular season going in their 74-64 victory over Oregon in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals on Friday. Here's what Izzo had to say.

The Michigan State Spartans are on a major role as they pursue the Big Ten Conference tournament. Tom Izzo’s team pulled off a 74-64 victory over the Oregon Ducks in the quarterfinal round Friday as the Spartans began their run in the tournament with an effective performance featuring 17 points from freshman Jase Richardson.

And apparently he isn’t. “He has the energy of a young coach,” freshman Jase Richardson was saying in the Michigan State locker room Friday, fresh off scoring 17 points to lead the Spartans over Oregon, 74-64, in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten tournament. “Sometimes when you’re out there, you think he’s you’re age.”

Izzo is surpassing milestones and reached a big anniversary of his lone title. At 70, with a highly ranked team, he's hoping to add to his legacy.
