Tesco is recalling its own-brand tzatziki dip after salmonella was detected during testing. The supermarket issued a warning to customers over batches of the Tesco Tzatziki 200g dipping pots, which costs £1.35, with the use-by date Nov 24 2024.

Symptoms caused by salmonella include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps. A Tesco notice read: “If you have bought the above product, do not eat it. “Instead, return it to any Tesco store for a full refund.

It is feared the dip, which costs £1.40, has been contaminated and 'may contain' the bacteria. The nasty bug usually causes a fever, sickness and diarrhoea.
