The BJP released the audio clip of a conversation purportedly featuring Supriya Sule MP and Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole wherein she claimed to be trading Bitcoin to fund the poll campaign

Supriya Sule and Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole filed complaints with the ECI and the police against former IPS officer Ravindranath Patil and the BJP.

Twelve hours before the Maharashtra Assembly elections, the BJP made serious allegations against NCP (Sharad Pawar) leader Supriya Sule and senior Congress leader Nana Patole regarding Bitcoin manipulation.

Ajit Pawar claims the authenticity of voice notes linked to alleged bitcoin manipulation for Maharashtra elections, while Supriya Sule denies the allegations, calling them AI-generated and false.

Speaking to news agency ANI, former IPS officer alleged that Amitabh Gupta, then commissioner of police, Pune, and Bhagyashri Nautake, then deputy commissioner of police handling the cyber crime investigations were involved in the misappropriation of bitcoins, which are eventually being used by the two political leaders.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday (20 November) escalated its criticism of Maharashtra opposition leaders Supriya Sule and Nana Patole, accusing them of allegedly using bitcoins illegally to fund elections.

Following Sule’s dismissal of the allegations, the BJP maintained that the more she defended herself, the more she cornered herself.

On Tuesday, BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi shared audio clips allegedly featuring the voices of two opposition leaders. Trivedi claimed the clips revealed illegal use of Bitcoins to fund election campaigns.
