Orange juice, like all fruit juices, is sweet with natural sugars and fine to drink in moderation, nutritionists say.
The consumer, Randall Davis, had bought the product – whose label says “100% Pure Squeezed Orange Juice” – at stores “for personal, family, or household purposes,” the lawsuit said.
Brands that use just the solo ingredient — including Natalie’s organic orange juice and Simply orange juice — have no added sugars, just the natural sugars that come from the fruit itself.
This video, posted Monday, showed a grocery store aisle with a large jug of Simply Orange, an orange juice brand that’s part of the Coca-Cola family, for $6.48.
According to Simply Orange’s label, their juice is made with 100% orange juice from Brazil, Mexico, and the United States. “Not 100% like fresh squeezed but it’s in the zone,” Daniel wrote.
