The Mini screen measures 5.4 inches, with a price starting at $699 (£699, AU$1,199). The regular iPhone 12, meanwhile, features a 6.1-inch display and costs $100 more, starting at $799.

The iPhone 12 Mini features the same design as the iPhone 12 — just smaller. It can easily fit in the palm of your hand, measuring 5.18 inches tall and 2.53 inches wide.

For me, iPhone 12 mini is my go-to recommendation for mid-cycle customers without specific needs that pricier models fulfill – especially in the six-month period before the iPhone 13 launches.

In fact, the iPhone 12 Mini is the smallest flagship phone since 2012’s iPhone 5. This seems like such a minor change: Apple made a small phone.

Apple's new 2020 iPhone 12 mini, and its 5.4-inch edge-to-edge display, stands in stark contrast to not just Apple's product line, but the smartphone trend as well.
