Canadian rap artist Drake has made a surprise appearance at a free Toronto concert. Drake took the stage at Nathan Phillips Square on Sunday night as part of the city's Canada 150 celebrations.

About half as many concertgoers as expected turned out for the Alanis Morissette concert in P.E.I. Saturday, but both fans and organizers were still happy with the event.

A concert-goer said he had anticipated a large crowd due to Don Toliver's popularity and that it was free — but not like what he witnessed.
