Through the day today the weather will stay quiet. It’ll be warm and breezy as highs jump back to the 80s. Later this evening around your drive home time, rain chances will begin to increase. By late evening more storms are expected with heavy rains training over the area.
FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY for storms this afternoon!
We are expecting a quick line of scattered storms to move across the ArkLaTex later this afternoon after having a warm and dry morning. Storms should bring some strong wind gusts and they do have a little chance at providing tornadoes. High temperatures will get into the upper 70′s and lower 80′s.
First Alert Weather Day canceled, but winds still on the gustier side
The First Alert Weather Day has ended, but strong trade winds are still in the forecast for another day or so. The National Weather Service has cancelled the RED FLAG WARNING that had been in effect for the leeward areas of all islands.
First Alert Weather: Disruptive but needed rainfall on the way
The First Alert Weather Day status will extend into Thursday when winds will pick-up turn north. Boating conditions will deteriorate, and much cooler and drier air will begin to filter into the area. Weekend nights could be in the low 50s and highs struggle to hit low 70s.

LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - Good morning, Texoma! Temperatures will warm to the 70s today, and skies will cloud over gradually through midday. It’s possible some locations see showers this morning into the afternoon, but the heaviest activity doesn’t move in until this afternoon and evening. Winds will be out of the south at 5 to 15 miles per hour.
FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY: Severe storms possible Monday morning
The tornado risk with Monday’s morning storms is low, but it’s entirely possible for a stray tornado to form. Since instability within the atmosphere is low but wind shear is high, any tornadoes that form should be relatively short-lived and likely weak.
