Tennessee State University band direct Dr. Reginald McDonald has been placed on paid administrative leave following a pending investigation.

The Band Director of the Tennessee State University Aristocrat of Band has been removed from office and placed on leave, according to the university's interim president.

He removed Reginald McDonald from the position following an internal audit by the Board of Trustees' Audit Committee. NBC-affiliate WSMV in Nashville said the decision to remove McDonald from the position stems from outstanding travel requisitions and advances, as well as a lack of compliance with the university's policies and procedures.
