Shape and texture: Unlike hard bird eggs, snake eggs are soft, leathery, and slightly squishy. They feel kind of like a soft rubber balloon. They're usually elongated or oval, not round.

Copperhead babies are born live and do not hatch from eggs. According to the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission, female copperheads can have one litter per year.
