Before the game, the domed roof at AT&T Stadium could be seen being opened, something that hasn't happened for a Cowboys game in over two years. Unfortunately, plans to play the game under the night sky in Arlington were foiled after a metal sheet fell off the roof, forcing the stadium to close the dome back up.

The roof at AT&T Stadium added an unusual degree of danger to the pregame festivities.  Dallas opted to open its retractable roof for the first time since 2022 for the nationally-televised bout, but the move nearly turned disastrous as a piece of sheet metal fell and landed on the turf.

ARLINGTON – A piece of metal and small debris fell onto the field while AT&T Stadium's retractable roof was being opened Monday before the Cowboys-Texans game.No injuries were reported, according to the Cowboys.
