The Empty Circle Zen Group begins its Tuesday evening program inside the First Unitarian Church of Hobart on Oct. 26. The group has been gathering in this church since 1983.

The Zen circle is not a linguistic character, but rather a symbol that conveys a host of things—the universe, the cyclical nature of existence, enlightenment, strength, and poised contemplation.
