Eric Zhi Ying Mei Xue, 9, has never been out of country but authorities plan to deport him and his mother, who entered illegally 12 years ago.

Eric’s mother Leena Mei Mei Xue arrived in Ireland 12 years ago. Her attempts to regularise her residency failed, and a deportation order was served against her in 2015.
