A new law allowing people to hunt wild boar with bows and arrows in a part of Italy has caused outrage, with critics condemning the practice as barbaric and “medieval”.

An animal rescue in Yellowhead County is running up against a problematic law that bans residents from raising wild boars.

Brook added that the U.S. was using large ground traps and hunting teams directed by aircraft or camera intelligence to stop the wild boar. He said the latter method is currently used in Saskatchewan.
