More than 20 people have been sickened with E. coli in an outbreak linked to raw milk in Florida. Of the 21 people affected, six are children under the age of 10, the Florida Department of Health said in a public alert. And two of the cases led to "severe complications," the department said.

The bacterial infections can primarily cause various forms of gastrointestinal illnesses and, in severe cases, life-threatening complications like kidney failure.
