A major upgrade to an aging pump station aims to protect West Dallas residents and businesses from the kind of catastrophic flooding that has impacted the area for more than a century.

In the District 6 race, which includes West Dallas, the Revitalize Dallas PAC contributed more than $150,000 to former council member Alonzo, who was voted out of office in 2017.
