USTA announced Wednesday it will distribute $90 million to players at the 2025 U.S. Open, a 20% increase from the $75 million it offered last season.

The US Open men's and women's singles winners will get $5m (£3.7m) each as part of a total pot of $90m (67.4m) in prize money which the tournament says is "the largest purse in tennis history".

The new record adds another frontier to the arms race between the Grand Slams, as players focus on how much tournament revenue they get.
