The extension to Tuscany cost $123.3 million, with the province contributing $118.8 million, the city $1.9 million and the federal government $2.5 million through the federal Gas Tax Fund.

The Tuscany LRT station opens Aug. 25, serving 40,000 residents of communities on either side of Crowchild Trail, as well as Cochrane and Bearspaw. It's been under construction since 2009.
