Council voted Monday to explore relocating the bridge pieces to the wetlands off Smith Creek Drive in New Hamburg, with staff to report back if enough money is raised.

Halifax Harbour Bridges says crews found the crack Wednesday afternoon while doing routine work on the bridge. One northbound lane was expected to be closed until 5:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Echo Dell Road will be closed at the Truss Bridge over Little Beaver Creek in State Park from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday for guardrail repair. The park can be accessed from each side of the bridge.
