Thirteen peaks within the San Jacinto Mountains rise above the 10,000-foot level, including Jean Peak (10,570 feet), Miller Peak (10,400 feet) and Marion Mountain (10,362 feet).
Those areas are looking at snow accumulations of 5-10 inches and wind gusts up to 45 mph. The Elkhead Mountains, Park Mountains, and Flat Tops are looking at 4-8 inches and wind gusts up to 40 mph.
Today was mostly cloudy and warmer in the valley while the mountains have had some snow. More snow is on the way for the mountains while warmer temperatures are in the forecast for the valley Sunday.
