Beginning Aug. 12 the boat launch at the Willow Creek arm of Tiber Reservoir will be open only to Certified Boaters in the Aquatic Invasive Species program.
Boat ramps located at North and South Bootlegger, and Willow Creek will be gated and locked, but will allow access using a gate code to those completing the 2018 Tiber Certified Boater application.
Canyon Ferry is 20 miles east of Helena and 190 miles southwest of Tiber Reservoir. One mussel detection team searched the boat ramp at the White Earth Campground near Wintson.
Boaters at Tiber and Canyon Ferry reservoirs will be required to launch and exit at designated boat ramps unless the boats are certified to remain only in one of those waters.
