The King’s Gallery will host the largest and most comprehensive exhibition of the late Queen’s fashion ever mounted.
The crown, which also features a purple velvet cap and ermine trim, was made in 1937 for Queen Elizabeth, consort of King George VI, to be worn on her husband’s coronation on 12 May 1937.
Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style is at The King’s Gallery, Buckingham Palace, from spring to autumn 2026. Dates will be confirmed in due course and tickets will go on sale in November 2025.
