Last year, 74 tornadoes touched down in Ohio – the largest number on record, according to the National Weather Service.

A year ago today, severe thunderstorms exploded across western and central Ohio during the evening hours, spawning nine tornadoes on March 14, 2024, that claimed three lives in Logan County.

An EF-0 twister reportedly moved along Fox Lake Road in between Canaan Center Road and Route 3 for two minutes around 7 p.m.

According to the weather service, the tornado was confirmed in the town of Northridge, Ohio, just north of Springfield, in Clark County.
