WINNIPEG — October is dwarfism awareness month. Dwarfism is a genetic medical condition that one in every 30,000 people is born with but not many people know a lot about it.
She and her son were born with achondroplasia, a form of dwarfism. In 2017, she advocated for Manitoba to become the first province to declare Oct. 25 Dwarfism Awareness Day.
