Vernon Watchmaker, grand chief for the Confederacy of Treaty No. 6 First Nations, said St. Albert represents a major centre for many Indigenous people who live or work in the area.

But like Messier in St. Albert, Fuhr in Spruce Grove and Glenn Hall in Stony Plain, he’s an Edmonton HHoF inductee who has his name on an arena. His grandpa should have his name on the place, too.
