Tukwila police also maintains a substation at Westfield Southcenter Mall, where Officer Victor Masters told KOMO News it’s common to see officers and detectives regularly coming and going.

On Saturday evening there was a large police and fire presence at Southcenter Mall in Tukwila after reports of gunshots, which police said was a fight at the food court and not a shooting.

A large fight involving teens sent Tukwila’s Southcenter Mall into lockdown Sunday. Police officers arrived at the mall after hearing about the fight as well as initial reports of gunshots at 6 p.m.

Police did not immediately say if there was damage from gunfire. Westfield Southcenter is at 2800 Southcenter Mall in King County. It’s about 12 miles south of downtown Seattle.
