Five out of the top 10 cars sold in South Africa in February 2025 were assembled locally. These were the Toyota Hilux, VW Polo Vivo, Ford Ranger, Isuzu D-Max, and Toyota Corolla Cross.

The awards results are in, and the BMW X3 has been crowned the 2025 South African Car of the Year (COTY). This marks a second consecutive win for BMW, following the 7 Series’ victory in 2024.
