I buy a couple of five-gallon cans, then mix it with oil in the smaller containers I use to fuel up my small two-stroke engines. Starting up again in spring is almost never an issue.
A small amount of fuel stabilizer allows gasoline to remain viable for more than six months in storage. Starting will be easier and engines run better on gasoline that has not deteriorated.
