EDMONTON—A novel local coffee shop in a shipping container has closed after the small business said it has been hit by thieves twice in a matter of weeks.
Coffee Can, a mobile coffee shop, was broken into on July 15 and its generator was stolen, leading startup owner Tony Phung to launch a GoFundMe to raise money to replace it.
Edmonton’s new mobile coffee shop, called YEG Coffee Can, has set up its digs in a converted Sea Can. It’s offerings include beans roasted locally and doughnuts made in at independent bakery.
