The emergency window of an AC coach in train 12561 Swatantrata Senani Express fell off near a passenger sitting beside the window on Monday, January 10.

Like non-AC sleeper, the AC sleeper buses have been named 'Lahari'. With a length of 12 metres, the AC sleeper bus has 15 lower and 15 upper berths.

The KSRTC will also deploy AC semi-sleeper buses to provide connectivity to the airports. The same will be initially operated from the Kochi airport before expanding to other airports.

Eicher Trucks and Buses, a business unit of VE Commercial Vehicles today delivered its first batch of Intercity 13.5m AC sleeper buses to Vijayanand Travels in Bengaluru.

The bus will leave from Jaipur at 12.30 am and reach Delhi at 6.30 am. This is the first air conditioned sleeper bus to be started by RSRTC on the Jaipur-Delhi route, said officials.
