Local icon commemorated on a stamp In observation of Black History Month, Canada Post has released new stamps to honour two black Canadians – one of whom being Vancouver's own Seraphim "Joe" Fortes.

The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) announced the stamp designs for 2025 on Friday, Nov. 15, revealing that one of the stamps will be a portrait of The Golden Girls star, who died in 2021 at the age of 99.

A Betty White postage stamp based on a 2010 photo of the 'Golden Girls' actor will be released in 2025, the U.S. Postal Service said Friday.
