Beyond the jokes about Uber inventing bus lines are serious questions about what its shuttle service will mean for struggling transit systems, air quality, and congestion.

By 8:30 p.m., the MBTA instructed passengers downtown to take the Green Line instead of the Orange Line and announced that shuttle buses would replace service from Back Bay to Jackson Square stations.

The bus then hit two other vehicles before crashing into the building. People who live in the upper part of the building told 11 News their entire building shook when the crash happened.
