Founded in 1871 by a group of masons in New York City, the group is probably best known for the red fez worn by its members.
The New York Shrine Association was in town, and so were 1,200 marching men who were wearing the traditional red fez and ornate vests and pants of the Shriners.
Activities include visits with Santa, Mrs. Claus's Café and penny socials. The Shriners' Fez-tival continues on Sunday, December 1, 2024, 11 am - 4 pm.
