Shropshire Council's cabinet will be asked on 12 February to allow park and ride buses in the town to run every 12 minutes, rather than every 20. If agreed, the change could come into effect by June.

Seb Slater, from Shrewsbury BID, said the river taxi would be a more attractive and fun mode of transport. “It’s the most obvious way we can use the river as a method of transport,” he said.

In the morning, a new journey will depart from Shrewsbury Business Park at 7.49am and Sutton Farm at 7.53am on Mondays to Saturdays. This bus will arrive at Shrewsbury Bus Station at 8.13.
