For the first time since Week 2 back in early September, the New Orleans Saints emerged from a football game with a win. New Orleans beat the Atlanta Falcons by a score of 20-17 on Sunday, improving their record to 3-7.

With the offense struggling for the entire second half, the New Orleans Saints defense stepped up to preserve a a 20-17 victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday at the Caesars Superdome. First, safety Tyrann Mathieu picked off Atlanta quarterback Kirk Cousins as he was marching the Falcons into scoring position.

The Saints rack up 23 points per game, comparable to the 24 the Falcons allow. New Orleans averages just 19.9 fewer yards per game (331.4) than Atlanta gives up per outing (351.3). This season the Saints have turned the ball over 11 times, one more than the Falcons' takeaways (10).
