A pencil, a jigsaw, a router can all work well to make a circle with a trammel arm jig. I used to dread making circles until I found out I could attach my wood router to a jig.

I tried using hole saws on my drill, but the results were not clean enough, so now I've ordered a circle-cutting jig for my router (Jasper 400 jig) and will try that this weekend.
