Romeo, played by Jamie Ward, is a Montague. Juliet is a Capulet, and she’s played by Clara Rugaard (who also played Juliet in the excellent yet short-lived TV drama “Still Starcross’d”).
Instead he parries with his words, especially when Rosaline embroils him in her plan to first break up Romeo and Juliet, and then to make her amends. There’s lots to like about this reboot.
Yet that, undoubtedly, is what a new take on Romeo and Juliet in London's West End has become, thanks to one of its leads – a certain Spider-Man, Tom Holland.
