State wildlife officials say a prominent outdoor trail in Kansas is in the running for some national recognition this year.

The next phase of trail construction is underway, with the WVDOT’s crew actively working to rehabilitate the 430-foot trestle bridge across the Cheat River adjacent to the trailhead.
