It appears Red Sox owner John Henry is celebrating the Alex Bregman signing by lighting a cigar. Boston agreed to a three-year, $120 million contract with Bregman on Wednesday night. The deal includes player opt outs after the first and second seasons.

The Red Sox's offseason-long pursuit of Alex Bregman ended on Wednesday, with the veteran reportedly signing a 3-year deal with Boston.

Bregman, who turns 31 in March, is coming off a down year offensively in Houston where he hit .260 with a .768 OPS in 145 games. Despite the below-average season at the plate, Bregman owns a career .375 average and 1.240 OPS in 98 plate appearances at Fenway and figures to use the Green Monster in left to his advantage.
