A snowboarder narrowly escaped a human-triggered avalanche in the White Mountains of New Hampshire on Wednesday morning. A video from the summit of Wildcat Mountain shows the snowboarder outrunning the avalanche by seconds in Tuckerman Ravine on Mount Washington.

Talk about an adrenaline rush. An avalanche occurred on Mount Washington on Tuesday, according to the Mount Washington Avalanche Center, and one snowboarder was caught on camera outracing it.

A snowboarder raced ahead of an avalanche in Mount Washington’s Tuckerman’s Ravine on Tuesday, making it to the bottom of the gorge unharmed.

The avalanche danger at all elevations on Mount Washington was listed as low on Wednesday, a day after a video showed a snowboarder racing to stay ahead of an avalanche in Tuckerman's Ravine. The Mount Washington Observatory shared a video Wednesday from a webcam on the summit of Wildcat Mountain.
